How do I fix the fuzzy LCD of my wet Nikon Coolpix Digital camera?
I was running up a mountain with my camera in my sports bra so I could take pictures at the top. The side of the camera with the LCD was pressed to my skin and my sweat got the camera wet. The camera works just fine. The only problem is that when the screen turns on, it comes on in gray streaks and I can’t see a thing. I’m not even able to make out outlines of the subjects of my pictures. I also do not have insurance so I’m on my own when it comes to fixing my camera. Any help would be great.
Take out all the batteries and memory card. Put the camera in the fridge for a few hours. The fridge will draw out all the moisture inside the camera.
Before removing the camera from the fridge, put it in a ziploc and seal it. This is so that when removed from the fridge any condensation will be on the ziploc instead of getting the camera wet again. Once it’s back at room temperature take the camera out of the ziploc, put in the batteries and try again.
